Spring is finally here as of today!
Now we can begin the Prom Season 2011. This year shoes will play a very big part of your accessories. So ladies make sure you can walk in your shoes and pick a shoe that is easy to walk in. If all else fails platforms are the easies to walk in, just practice and you'll see what I'm talking about.
To the young ladies that are getting gowns made, it's not too late for you to enter
"Get Your Walk On" for 2011 contest. But make sure you cast your vote for 2010’s Contest on HGProms website or on YouTube.

Red Carpet Night

Hey guys,

This is my second blog of 2011. So the Oscars are tonight and everyone is looking at the gowns on the carpet. Ladies of prom 2011, are you ready to take your Red Carpet walk? Maybe you’re viewing a dress from the Oscars tonight that you would like to imitate. Last time we chatted, Iwas pedaling behind the machine. Well now it's crunch time and it seems like every body's dress are due for May 27th or the 28th. I'm still getting dresses out on time, but I won't be finished until June 22nd. Anyway, I'm having a contest for the viewers to vote on the best dress and the best presentation of 2010 gowns. "Hard at Work"

Hey yah!

It's been some time. Prom season is in full bloom, and I'm behind the machine on demand. Last time we chatted, we had a contest for one of my cards. Sad to say no one won . (Ahhhh)

On a brighter note, my first Prom Gown has left the building! Looking forward to completing the rest on time also.

We finally made it to Spring 2010, I'm thankful that God has carried us through! Now that Spring has arrived the Prom Season will be in full affect. Easter's around the corner and Mother's Day is on the way. Let's not forget Graduation, whether it's High School, College or Discipleship class.Then there's all the Birthdays from now until the summer months are here. It's that time of the year that House of Gemeaux's customers walk their Red Carpet appearance for the Prom. I'm excited to say that the dresses are fabulous! Let the spirit of Lord be in you, let His love reign in you forever. Happy Valentine's Day. I am single and glad that the Lord loves me, I will not let a holiday dictate to me how I should feel and neither should anyone else who is single. Luv you.

With that said, I'm tired of the snow, it's beautiful to look at but not to shovel. :) Being closed up can get to you, but it was good to start getting around. So I got a booking this weekend! I will be demonstrating our cards at an informal gathering for women on February 6th. I'm so excited! Today I will be attending a baby shower for a little boy. Then another one next month for a baby girl. I was inspired to put together a gift basket for the event. All the things a little one would need to start it's new life in this world.

COSTUMES GALORE

Hey Yall,

I'm so excited to report that this is the most votes I ever received on the poll question of the week.Thank you all for participating! As promised the answer to the question last week is, I made the jacket only, the dress was brought.(However I could of made the dress also.)

I know Halloween is not as BIG as it use to be. But dressing up can always be fun for children anytime. We at House of Gemeaux make costumes for children (3-9 ages)also. Not only for Halloween but theme parties too. We rent the costume to you and your party and you return them as given to you. HATS

Hats have been a part of history since the Ancient Greece. The first recorded hat was called Pileus, which was associated with slaves. This hat represented their freedom from bondage. In 1529, women’s hats emerged in Milan & Northern Italian regions.
During the 19th century, the bonnet was the most popular amongst women. By the 1920’s, more hats became available to women. With all the different styles & materials Millerns (Hat makers) relied on. By the 1930’s- 1950’s, New York City become the world’s leading millinery makers.
As the years went on trends & styles of fashions pushed hats back, but today they made there way back to the fore front. Hats can make an impact or add on for the season. Here at House of Gemeaux we can meet that need!

Back to School

Hi yall doing today !

God is good and Greatly to be praised! Thank you for coming back this Sunday. Last week I mentioned how these two young adults where interested in setting their own trend for the first day of school. Well I have the pictures to prove it.

Their vests looks the same, but 2 different fabrics were used.I love it when young people have their own sense of style. They are not followers, they set the stage for others to know that they are trendsetters.

This is What I Do

Today at 2:00 pm I had a final fitting. It went great! Now I can complete the dress and the Wedding will be fabulous! Stay tuned the pictures will be posted after the wedding, which is September 4, 2009. But for now let me show you how the process goes down. First pic(starting from the bottom up) is the pattern of the gown she showed me. Second pic is the silhouette of the gown & the fit. Third pic is the train of the gown.Tune in August 30th for the big event and the gown all put together.
